About time for a Post

Ok, It is about time for me to start posting regularly...I know, you guys are like, uh huh. Hubby and I have been remodeling and it takes up so much time. I guess I have got to learn to blog more often no matter what is going on. LOL! So, I will make it a quickie today, just to get started back. I did a few pages and have some freebie word art to share. As I said, we are remodeling so I don't have a lot of time, so I have discovered the fine art of quickpages. I had downloaded a bunch and never really used them. Well...now it's on. I have qp'd myself to death lately! Free word art is at the bottom.

Ever Feel Like a Total Dunce and Adding a Signature to your blog

Just griping...LOL! I've been trying to get my signature ready for my blog and I have deleted what I was using as a background. First, I tried to find something close and couldn't. I found a few that was dark blue and grungy, so I was like, ok maybe that will have to work. Then, the little lightbulb came on in my head and I thought...GIF! That's it! No background. Soooo...I create my siggie, save as gif-upload and stick on my blog. Put in a test post-and there's this big beautiful white background. I was like "What the [fill in the blanks, ha! ha!]. So here I go...delete it and put in one of my dark blue ones save as a jpg-upload-post. It doesn't even remotely match. Then I'm like...well duh...grab my own background and use it! Then I think it needs resizing. Go through the whole process again, just to have to delete it because it still doesn't match my background. UGH! Then when I finally get it right...my computer keeps showing the previous ugly one. So...here I go, cleaning my cache'. And now, I finally have my pretty little signature up on my blog. LOL! Go ahead and laugh about it...I am. I just find myself wondering if I'm just one of the lucky few or if everyone has things that happen like this?! For some reason, this kind of stuff always happens to me when I'm designing or something to do with my blog. Anyhoo...anyone that knows me knows that I am definitely a cat person, so even though my header is a dragon-I went with this little kitty. I fell in love with him the first time I saw him and knew I had to use him for something. He is from the It's raining cats and dogs collab with Mel Haines from http://www.melslightbulbmoments.blogspot.com/ and Vicki from http://vicki20.blogspot.com/. My particular kitty came from Mel's part.

Now for a small tut.

I looked at several places trying to find how to add a signature to my blog, so I was just going to tell you what I found out. I personally made an actual picture as my signature, but you could whatever picture/signature you like. Just go to your dashboard (I just click post and go from there) and click settings-formatting and scroll to the very bottom of the page where it says post template and paste this text into it and save it.

<p><image class="centered"alt="post signature" src="Your url here" /></p>

Just replace this url with your image url. This has it aligned to the right, but I changed mine to center. Oh well...hope this helps somebody.

Just for laughs-I've looked forever to figure out how to show html on a blogger page! ARGHHH!

I've been tagging

I used to create tags a long time ago, but haven't done it in forever. It's amazing how much easier it is to do the tags after learning so much about scrapping. What I used to think was hard is now just second nature. Anyhoo...here's the two I've created lately. I've added in links to the tuts with the credits if you would like to do them. The first pic is their tag and the second one is what I made.

Guitar Hero and A is for addiction elements

There is a story behind my latest kit design. For Christmas, my brother, his wife and my mom decided to get Ben and I something together instead of our traditional separate gifts. My brother and his wife went to some friends house and played Guitar Hero (went and bought it the next day) and thought Ben and I would really like the game. OMG! We're they right! We are addicted to guitar hero/rock band. Hense the name of my new kit-A is for addiction. I don't have my layout created with the kit yet, since I absolutely have to include pictures of my brother and sister-in-law in the layout and our schedules just hasn't allowed us to get together for another round of guitar hero/picture taking opportunities. LOL! Anyway, here are the elements to my new kit-A is for addiction. Hope you like it. I will post the papers later this week.

Glitter Tiles Freebie, new pages and Star Wars

It's been a while since I posted, (I'm not real good on the frequency of post yet) so I decided it was time to do something on the blog. Anyhoo...not sure if anyone will be able to use them, but here are some glitter tiles that I made using PSP and Artrage 2. I'm working on a kit for guitar hero. Hubby and I are totally hooked (Thanks mom, Ruff and Heather!) I'm having trouble with it because I'm just learning the design thing and I don't really know what elements to put with it. Anyway, I'll be giving that away over the next couple of days.

So, the next part is truly sad, LOL! My family is some Star Wars liking people! My hubby loves it so he wants to watch it all of the time. After so many times though...I'm like "Star Wars again" and then you've got my brother. Let's just say that he reeeeeeeeeaaalllllly likes Star Wars! Anyway, my point being, we watch a lot of Star Wars. While I'm playing with my scrapbook stuff-my hubby will get bored and go to places like StarWars.com and just look around. They have some funny videos on there, so I wanted to share some of the funny ones with you over the next few days! Don't you just love you tube! You can just pop over there and find most anything you want to see! I'll show you what I thought was the funniest one first. I laughed so hard that I almost peed in my pants!

Is that not the funniest thing! Of course, we do have a very cynical sense of humor? Anyhoo...what do you guys think?

Ever felt like a total Moe-Ron and Foam stamp download

You ever do something and immediately after you do it, your first thought is "Wow, that was so "special"? Well, I had one of those moments today. As I said before, I'm really new to blogging and I got it set up (background and such) following how to's on the internet until I got it to work.

There was this added "gadget" to the side and it bugged me so I checked it out. It had something in it that said background, but I thought surely that is not actually how my background was put in (as an external gadget) so I deleted it. Guess What?! It was my background. It was one of those situations where as soon as I done it, I realized how goofy it was but it was just a second too late. LOL! Luckily, I did think to copy it just in case. (I've learned that the hard way too!) After, looking through a lot of different how to's I finally found a way to put it back in without it being an external gadget. Wouldn't you know it, then all my text was huge and black. I kept going in to format it, but it wouldn't actually change the color. I finally changed it in each post and while I was there I changed the size to small. Then I tried to change the text size of my side column and wouldn't you know it. It changed the size of ALL of the text on the page. Back to each post to change the size back to the original so that I could change all of the text on the page at one time! Whew!!!! After that, I felt like I had put in a day's work! LOL! Oh well, may as well laugh about it, not to mention let you guys laugh about it too. I guess we all have days we do goofy stuff! Anyhoo...Here is the foam stamp flowers I promised you yesterday. There is also a gray-scale one so you can manually change the color to whatever color you need. Personal Use.
